Match local place lists or CSV rows to county records, review ambiguous names and spelling suggestions, then export every row.
Useful to know
Are spelling suggestions automatically accepted?
No. Suggestions show possible source records and leave the county unassigned until you choose one. Your choice is labelled as a user confirmation, not independent geographic verification.
Are blank rows, duplicate names and other columns preserved?
Yes. The original data row order and duplicate rows remain. JSON retains exact original row arrays and header text. CSV pads missing trailing cells for a rectangular export and adds result columns; formula-like cells receive a protective apostrophe.
Can it return one county for a multi-county urban area?
The source can link one census urban area to several counties. The matcher retains all of them and marks that a more precise locality is needed when you require one county. It does not allocate a whole urban area to a single county.
Do the postal names add more verified towns?
They add a separately labelled set of post-office branches. A branch name is not treated as proof of a town boundary, and unresolved source county fields remain unresolved.
