Can the correct change be zero?
Yes. If the customer hands over the exact total, the correct answer is 0.00. Checking that possibility is part of the exercise.
Does this include taxes or real shop prices?
No tax rules or market-price feeds are inserted. Each receipt is a generated arithmetic scenario. For an actual transaction, use the amounts on its real receipt and the applicable payment arrangements.
