Does this validate my XML against a schema?
No. It checks whether the document is well formed XML. An XSD, DTD, application rule or digital signature needs its own validator.
Will formatting preserve every original character?
No. Formatting or compaction can change whitespace between child elements, line endings, quote styles and entity notation. Mixed text and preserved-space blocks are retained as serialized subtrees. Choose Validate only to retain the original text, which downloads as a text file.
Where are my files and inputs processed?
