Solve, understand and practise algebra with exact fractions, real quadratic roots, verified working, linear inequalities and two-equation problems.
Useful to know
What can Smart Maths solve?
Exact arithmetic, fractions, polynomial expansion and simplification, linear equations, real quadratics, rational equations reducing to degree two, two linear equations in x and y, linear inequalities and percentages. Unsupported problems show a limitation message.
Can I practise without revealing the answer?
Learn reveals one step at a time. Practise checks supported equivalent intermediate steps. Challenge generates questions and marks equivalent rational answers. Radical answer entry is not supported yet.
Is this mapped to Kenyan grades or KICD-approved?
No. Difficulty labels describe this release, not official grades. Detailed curriculum mapping remains pending. Lessons can support independent learning but do not claim complete curriculum coverage.
Where are my files and inputs processed?
Maths questions and working are processed on this device and are not uploaded. Challenge score, completed count and difficulty can be saved only when you enable device saving. Saving starts off on each visit; turning it off or choosing Erase saved progress removes that record. Questions and answers are never saved. Reset clears current working, not optional saved progress.

Maths learning notes
Keep an equation balanced
Beginner · Prerequisite: Signed numbers and multiplication
An equation says two expressions have the same value. Add, subtract, multiply or divide both sides by the same allowed value to preserve that equality.
Example: 2(x + 3) = 14
Common mistake: Distribute 2 to both x and 3. Do not change only one side of the equation.
Independent practice: 3(x + 2) = 18
What should I check before moving on?
Distribute 2 to both x and 3. Do not change only one side of the equation. Use the worked example, then attempt the independent practice without looking at the solution.
Difficulty labels are not official grade mappings. Detailed KICD alignment is pending; OnlineTools Kenya is not KICD-approved.
